High school art class
My kids found my old sketchbooks from high school art class. Inside were several report cards, which had many stellar highlights…
“5 pages of filler. When are you going to put out? It’s your future you are working on, not mine. When you go I’ll still be the same but what will you have to show for all this time?”
(blank self-evaluation page) “YOU were supposed to do this, as if you didn’t know.”
“Art class is a time to develop skills. If you insist that it is supposed to be a party or a social event you lose!”
“You’re still not giving this your best shot. Your ability is excellent, but you don’t have much drive. Two old articles doesn’t exactly expand your awareness. C+ maybe.”
“You have to do more than draw, and more than draw fantasy.”
“Impressed but not ever whelmed.”
“Get off your ________ and get going!”
